At the same time, 17 pregnant midwives and nurses from the same hospital department

Miami Valley hospital in Dayton is currently observing a notable increase in the number of staff members who are pregnant. According to Amberly Saner, head of the nursing department, the facility has documented a rising trend regarding employee pregnancies over recent months. This influx of expectant nurses has set a record for the department, with a group of eleven employees previously being documented as pregnant concurrently.

Recently, a gathering of approximately 15 of the 17 pregnant nurses at the hospital captured attention, with the staff members posing together in their professional uniforms. The group represents a diverse range of maternity stages, including those expecting their first child alongside those with subsequent pregnancies. The concentration of expectant nurses highlights a significant demographic shift within the workforce.

Among the individuals featured were Maddie, who is in her 26th week of pregnancy, and Rileigh, who is at 31 weeks. Both are currently employed by the Miami Valley hospital. The sustained high rate of pregnant nurses suggests a pattern within the department, drawing attention to staffing levels and maternity support resources.

The presence of so many pregnant nurses at the same time underscores a notable period of growth and change within the hospital’s nursing staff.
