Rebeka Lokar and Jusif Ejvazov Reflect on Ljubljana Festival Performance
Opera prima donna Rebeka Lokar and tenor Jusif Ejvazov expressed gratitude following their performances at the Ljubljana Festival. Lokar highlighted the honor of participating in the event, noting, “It is always a great honor to perform at the Ljubljana Festival and I am grateful for the invitation.”
The performance coincided with a significant milestone: the 100th anniversary of the opera Turandot. Both performers acknowledged the logistical challenges of staging the opera outside of a traditional opera house.
“The Ljubljana Festival members did an excellent job,” Lokar stated. “It is very difficult to organize everything on the stage that is not an opera house. And you depend on rain, weather, so it’s true.”
Ejvazov, a widely recognized dramatic tenor, echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the collaborative effort involved.
“The opportunity to perform alongside such an internationally renowned tenor was particularly rewarding,” he added. The Ljubljana Festival continues to be a prominent cultural event, showcasing diverse artistic talent within the city.
