Police Conduct Search, Seize Weapons and Suspected Cannabis in Nova Gorica
Nova Gorica – Police conducted a search of a residence on Tuesday as part of an investigation into suspected criminal activity. The Nova Gorica Police Department, alongside the Criminal Police Section and the Miren Police Department’s Service of Guides Dogs unit, executed a search warrant issued by the District Court in Nova Gorica. The search, carried out within the Nova Gorica administrative unit, stemmed from suspicion of unlawful production and transport of weapons or explosives.
During the house search, officers discovered a variety of weapons and ammunition, along with a significant quantity of green-brown plant material believed to be cannabis. Furthermore, investigators located a specially-constructed room within the residence, indicating an operation for the cultivation of the illicit substance. All seized items and plant material were taken into police custody.
