Knovs Affair: indictment against Tonin rejected

After the three members of the NSi, Jernej Vrtovec, Janez Žakelj and Jožef Horvat, who received a letter from the court that the Knovs case is being transferred to the courtroom for pre-trial, the fourth case was heard today, the European MEP Matej Tonin. In the letter, he was informed by the Ljubljana District Court that the indictment against him was rejected. We did not receive the entire decision in the editorial office, but it is possible to conclude from the part of the document that we have access to that the result is due to the potential immunity that the European MEP has.

The part of the decision that Matej Tonin received is based on three articles of the Code of Criminal Procedure (ZKP), namely the first paragraph of Article 136, the first paragraph of Article 437 and the second paragraph of Article 277 of the law. Article 136 ZK
