Significant Traffic Congestion Reported Across Slovenian Highways Approaching Ljubljana

Heavy traffic conditions are currently impacting several Slovenian highways as commuters navigate the morning peak. Extensive traffic jams are reported across the country, particularly those leading to the city of Ljubljana. The Gorenjska highway experiences congestion on individual sections between Naklo and Ljubljana.

Similarly, the Štajerska highway is affected just before Lukovica and towards Ljubljana, while the Primorska highway faces delays from Vrhnika to Ljubljana and before Postojna to Koper and Ljubljana. The Dolenjska highway between Grosuplje and Šmarje-Sap is also experiencing significant traffic. Adding to the disruption, traffic is backed up from Austria towards Slovenia, specifically before the Šentilj crossing and along the Štajerska highway between Lukovica and Krtina, following a reported traffic accident that is obstructing the roadway.

Authorities anticipate continued traffic delays throughout the week, with the Gorenjska, Štajerska, and Primorska highways expected to be particularly affected. Motorists are advised to plan for extended travel times and to monitor traffic conditions closely when traveling towards or within the Ljubljana area. The situation highlights ongoing challenges with traffic flow across the Slovenian highway network.
