In a traffic accident caused by an Italian, two motorists were injured

A traffic incident occurred near the Ročinj settlement, at the Avče exit, involving multiple vehicles. A 55-year-old Italian driver was proceeding from Doblar towards Ročinj when, as the initial vehicle in a queue, he entered the local road at the Avče intersection. This action resulted in motorists traveling from Ročinj towards Doblar being directed straight ahead, effectively yielding the right-of-way.

Two motorists from Ročinj, aged 57 and 74, were driving on the road at the time. The 57-year-old driver subsequently collided with the rear of the Italian driver’s personal car. Simultaneously, the 74-year-old motorist attempted to avoid the initial impact by striking another personal vehicle driven by a 32-year-old Croatian citizen.

This Croatian motorist was traveling behind the Italian driver and sustained injuries. Emergency services responded to the scene. The incident occurred in the vicinity of the small settlement and involved several older motorists.

Investigations are underway to determine the precise circumstances surrounding the collision. No serious injuries were reported beyond the Croatian driver.
