A single-vehicle accident occurred on Saturday at approximately 1:00 PM near Litija, in the Spodnji Log area. The Ljubljana Police Department reports that the incident involved only one vehicle. Preliminary investigations indicate the accident was caused by the driver exceeding the speed limit.
The vehicle subsequently collided with an embankment, rotating multiple times before coming to rest on its side. The driver sustained serious injuries as a result of the crash. According to available information, his condition is not life-threatening and he is receiving medical treatment.
A passenger in the vehicle also sustained injuries, though they are considered less severe. Police are currently gathering information and investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident. They are examining the possibility of negligence in causing the incident and will forward their findings to the competent state prosecutor for further review.
