A central component of the proposed reforms involves establishing stricter maximum waiting periods correlated to the patient’s urgency level.
For patients categorized at the very fast level, the proposed waiting time would be reduced from 30 days to 15 days. Similarly, the fast level would see its waiting time cut from 90 to 60 days, while the regular level would decrease from 180 to 120 days. The immediate response time for the highest urgency category would remain at 24 hours.
Furthermore, the proposals outline a mechanism to ensure access to care. If the state fails to allocate a timely appointment slot, the system is designed to automatically identify and connect the patient with the three fastest available healthcare providers. These measures are intended to improve overall health outcomes and streamline service delivery.
In addition to adjusting waiting times, the party also suggested a structural change, proposing the introduction of an alternative body to replace existing patient rights representatives within the health sector. These comprehensive changes aim to create a more predictable and responsive system for the public.
