Verstappen: Something is wrong with the car, it was completely empty

The current season presents a challenging beginning for the four-time world champion. His initial performances have been notably difficult, marked by a lack of points in both the Sprint and the main race. The race itself concluded with a frustrating technical issue, preventing him from achieving a positive outcome.

Despite these setbacks, verstappen’s best qualifying position this year remains eighth, secured during the race in China. His strongest race result to date was a commendable sixth place at the opening event in Australia. Verstappen has historically been a dominant force at the Suzuka circuit, having secured the best starting position and claimed victory in the preceding four races.

However, this time he will commence from 11th place, trailing the Racing Bulls rookie, Arvid Lindblad, by almost two tenths of a second. Furthermore, he was overtaken by his teammate Isack Hadjar, and Kimik Antonelli finished behind him, lagging 1.2 seconds behind the fastest lap time. This indicates a competitive field and a demanding start to the season for the reigning champion.
