Verstappen is tired of the problems with the car

Max Verstappen addressed the media following a race that concluded prematurely due to recurring mechanical issues with his car. The four-time world champion indicated that he continues to encounter difficulties related to engine performance and overall vehicle balance. Following qualifying, Verstappen requested his team to change the power unit, an action that would have necessitated starting the race from the pit lane.

However, his team declined this request, resulting in Verstappen starting the race from seventh position alongside the other competitors. When questioned by a reporter about not starting from the pit lane, Verstappen stated, “Don’t ask me that… If it depended on me, I would have chosen another option.

I would much rather have started from the pits, because the race would have been completely the same.” He further elaborated on his communication with the team regarding the situation. The recurring problems with the car appear to be a consistent theme in his recent outings. While Verstappen remains a dominant force, the mechanical aspects of the vehicle seem to present ongoing challenges for the driver and the engineering team.

His comments suggest a degree of dissatisfaction with the compromises made regarding the starting procedure, despite his high level of performance throughout the event.
