Umek Transitions to Hosting with ‘(Ne)združljivo’ Series
Popular DJ Uroš Umek has taken on a new professional role, stepping into the role of host for the POPkasta show within his studio. The endeavor, described as “something new and quite strange,” represents a significant departure for the established artist. During the initial segment of the first episode, Umek noted a considerable adjustment to his routine, stating, “The first 10 to 15 minutes were unusual for me, as I had never done this before.” He emphasized that as the conversation progressed with a guest and with a positive atmosphere, his anxiety lessened.
This new venture is part of a broader project celebrating Umek’s 50th birthday. He will be producing a series of shows titled “(Ne)združljivo,” with the first episode featuring a conversation with guest Jan, recorded in the studio. The “(Ne)združljivo” series is slated to culminate in a large-scale music spectacle, “Umek 5.0 (Ne)združljivo,” scheduled for October 23rd at the Exhibition Centre.
