Vending Machine Break-Ins Reported in Kranj and Škofja Loka
Police are investigating a series of break-ins targeting vending machines in the Kranj and Škofja Loka areas. The Kranj Police District received notification of the initial incident on Monday morning, according to Roland Brajič, a police representative. The incident involved a vending machine where an unknown individual caused material damage by accessing the compartments and removing packages.
The exact amount of damage is currently under assessment. Separately, Škofja Loka police reported a similar break-in at a milk vending machine on Tuesday at approximately 8:30 AM. The perpetrator caused damage to the machine and removed an estimated €100 in cash.
Both incidents occurred at the end of last week. Police officers conducted forensic examinations at both locations and are actively gathering information related to the crimes. “We are continuing to collect information and will forward all findings to the competent district state prosecutor for further action,” stated Brajič.
The police are treating these incidents as criminal investigations. The focus remains on identifying the individual responsible for the break machine.
