Željko Obradović, widely recognized as “The Man of the Ring,” has concluded a remarkable 35-year career marked by nine EuroLeague championships. He achieved this unprecedented feat across five different clubs, a record unmatched by any other coach. “I am very happy that I could dedicate myself to something I truly love,” Obradović stated.
“It provided a deep sense of fulfillment.” The 66-year-old Serbian coach paused his involvement with Partizan in November, a temporary interruption he described as allowing him to pursue other interests. Currently, Obradović is taking a period of rest. He plans to reflect on his future in June, stating that a decision to return would signify the discovery of renewed motivation.
“Motivation is what drives us all forward, regardless of our profession,” he added. Obradović’s sustained success and dedication to basketball have solidified his place as a legendary figure in the sport.
