The event featured remarks from several key figures. Mayor Henrik Zupan of Kranjska Gora and Mayor mag. Peter Bohinec of Jesenice, alongside ŠIS-SPK President Damijan Lazar and expedition leader Roman Jakič, addressed the assembled crowd.
Brane Jeršin, head of the regional office OKS-ZŠZ, was also present. Slovenian Olympic athlete Alenka Dovžan offered a warm welcome to the attendees. Slovenian national colors were proudly represented by Tabea Dolžan and Jernej Slivnik.
Both athletes expressed their satisfaction with their recent performances, while also discussing the upcoming challenges they anticipate. Slivnik, in particular, highlighted his experiences. The 18th supergiant slalom took place on Most, a venue traditionally hosting only one female competitor during previous winter games.
Jernej Slivnik previously fulfilled this role at the 2018 and 2022 Winter Olympics. This year, he welcomed Tabea Dolžan, who made her debut at the Paralympic Games. Dolžan secured an impressive 11th place in the ten-kilometer ski event.
