The victorious winter cloak, which was once again a record-breaker

Nika Prevc achieved a remarkable feat this ski jumping season, surpassing all previous records for female competitors. With a total of 2676 points, she secured the highest point accumulation in a single season’s history for a female ski jumper. The Slovenian champion also garnered an unprecedented record of 18 victories and 28 podium finishes.

The 21-year-old from Dolenje vasi expressed her delight at the end of the season, stating, “I feel really great. I’ve been on my feet since Friday’s record-breaking jump.” She successfully replicated her brother Domen Prevc’s five-time victory in Planica, marking her 40th podium appearance throughout her career. At the awards ceremony, Prevc was awarded her third consecutive large crystal globe, tying her with Norwegian Maren Lundby and placing her just behind Japanese athlete Saro Takanaši, who had previously won the overall title four times.

The Slovenian champion was embraced by teammate Nike Vodan. This accomplishment represents the first time a woman has won a ski jumping competition, solidifying Nika Prevc’s place in ski jumping history.
