The SDS is raising a new objection to the holding of elections, pointing to Argentina

The Slovenian Democratic Party has lodged a formal challenge, citing Article 106 of the Election Law, concerning alleged issues at the Diplomatic Council Office and the Slovenian Embassy in Buenos Aires. The party claims significant irregularities occurred during the voting process. Following this, the Freedom Movement is currently operating without complications internationally, alongside the Social Democratic Party (SDS) and the Left.

Concerns have been raised regarding voters abroad who reportedly did not receive their ballots. Furthermore, some shipments delivered from diplomatic-consular missions within Slovenia were found to have been accessed. Despite these issues, overall voting abroad has not altered the final election results, with participation surpassing 70 percent.

The SDS, however, maintains that numerous voters were denied the opportunity to cast their ballots, specifically highlighting instances in Argentina. Many citizens have contacted the SDS, reporting a lack of ballot delivery. The SDS’s objection underscores serious doubts about the fairness of the overseas voting process.

This challenge raises questions about potential barriers faced by Slovenian citizens abroad during the elections.
