Slovenia Braces for Prolonged Heatwave with Temperatures Reaching 34 Degrees Celsius
The Arso meteorological service has issued a warning regarding a sustained heatwave impacting Slovenia in the coming days. Forecasts indicate a significant increase in the daily temperature load, with warm air persisting over the region. Maximum daily temperatures are expected to reach between 30 and 34 degrees Celsius.
Primorska will experience the highest temperatures, with projections exceeding 35 degrees Celsius in larger cities and lowlands. Lowest morning temperatures are anticipated to rise to approximately 20 degrees Celsius. A specific weather warning has been issued for June 21st.
Arso predicts the heatwave will likely continue through the end of June and potentially into early July. Current meteorological data shows no substantial weather disturbances anticipated to bring rainfall and alleviate the high temperatures. The probability of heat storms is expected to increase, particularly in the northern half of Slovenia, tomorrow and during Sunday afternoons.
Residents are advised to monitor Arso’s forecasts for updates on the expected temperature, measured in degrees Celsius.
