The fuel prices will be significantly reduced on Tuesday

Fuel Prices Remain Stabilized Through June 8th Following Regulatory Measures

Current fuel prices across the country will remain capped until June 8th, according to the Minister for the Environment, Climate and Energy. Without regulatory intervention, projections indicate significantly higher costs for petroleum derivatives. The Minister estimates that 95-octane gasoline would reach approximately 1,683 euros per liter if prices were not controlled, while diesel would cost around 1,728 euros per liter.

Heating oil is projected to average around 1,374 euros per liter. Despite these potential increases, the government has maintained the existing excise tax structure. The excise tax for 95-octane gasoline stands at 0.42625 euros per liter, diesel at 0.33000 euros per liter, and heating oil at 0.07875 euros per liter.

To limit consumer costs, maximum pump prices are currently in place. These limits are set at 0.0983 euros per liter for diesel, 0.0994 euros per liter for 95-octane gasoline, and 0.08 euros per liter for heating oil. These price controls are being implemented based on a methodology that tracks fluctuations in global oil prices.

The Ministry confirmed that fuel prices will continue to be calculated using this established approach. The current regulations are designed to ensure stability in the market for gasoline and other petroleum products.
