The company Dars has reported that its president, Andrej Ribič, submitted a proposal to the supervisory board during the 66th regular meeting. The proposal advocated for an agreement concerning the termination of the president’s duties, citing economic and business reasons. The supervisory board unanimously agreed to prepare a formal agreement to regulate the rights and obligations associated with the employment relationship.
Despite this, it was stipulated that Ribič will continue to serve as the company’s president until August 15th, as agreed with the board. This development follows public disclosures regarding alleged irregularities in the construction of the new Dars business building in Ljubljana, which surfaced at the beginning of June. Following these revelations, the Minister for Infrastructure and Energy, Jernej Vrtovec, indicated that he expected the president to take responsibility.
Dars stated that the expert review of the investment related to the building has not yet been completed. The company’s board action appears to be a direct response to the scrutiny surrounding the development project and the associated governance matters involving the company’s top leadership.
