‘The father drove 12 times in one day along the same path up and down’

We spoke with Cenet Prevc in Škofja Loka shortly before the conclusion of this season’s events in Planica. He recounted several times when all three Prevc brothers – Peter, he, and Domen – engaged in training for jumps. Initially, their training wasn’t always coordinated, so their parents would frequently transport them to Kranj as needed.

“I recall one particular day when a record was set,” he explained. “Our father literally repeated the same line twelve times, with each of us three brothers having to bring him to the training and then return him home, and then search for him and bring him back again.”

The Prevc brothers consistently highlight the crucial role their parents played during the early stages of their sporting careers, a sentiment Peter Prevc echoed in his interview with 24ur Fokus. When questioned about the key individuals who supported them, he immediately named his parents.

One of the key people behind their success was undoubtedly their father, Peter. The brothers repeatedly emphasized the importance of this support, particularly when they were beginning their careers and training wasn’t always conducted at the same time.
