The diary saved the life of a 6-year-old boy who was murdered

Richard Dyson vanished without any signs of life in November 2019. He was last seen alive on November 17 of that year. Eight days later, Dyson was reported missing after failing to attend a scheduled meeting with his daughter, Bethany, according to reports from the BBC.

At the time of his disappearance, Richard was 55 years old. He had been working on the farm at Christopher Wright’s Parkside Cottage, located on the Sheffield Road farm in Barnsley. His employment involved completing minor tasks on the property in exchange for overnight lodging.

Police conducted a thorough investigation of the farm premises but reported finding nothing unusual. Furthermore, there was no trace of Richard anywhere on the property. Despite the lack of physical evidence, police investigators suspected from the outset that Richard had been murdered.

They maintained that Christopher Wright and Wright’s childhood friend, Karl Schwalbe, were responsible for his death. However, the absence of a body significantly complicated the process of providing concrete proof.
