Significant Traffic Disruptions Reported Across Slovenia’s Highways
Multiple sections of Slovenia’s highway network are experiencing substantial delays due to ongoing construction and maintenance work. Traffic congestion is reported across several key routes, impacting travel throughout the country. A 12-kilometer traffic jam has been observed on the Primorska highway between Lom and the Ravbarkomanda rest area, heading towards Koper.
This disruption is causing travel delays exceeding 30 minutes. Further north, significant delays are also being reported on the Styrian highway in the vicinity of Slovenj Gradec, heading towards Ljubljana. Similarly, the Primorska highway is experiencing congestion between Ravbarkomanda and Postojna to Koper, as well as on the road from Šmarje to Koper in both directions.
These delays are attributed to construction activities. Authorities have confirmed that these road closures are necessary for planned infrastructure improvements. Motorists are advised to seek alternative routes and allow for extended travel times.
Traffic monitoring services, such as Promet.si, are providing real-time updates on the situation.
