A video released by the US Central Command (Centcom) on Friday shows an explosion following an air strike, with a visible cloud of smoke rising into the air. Centcom stated that the US military conducted an attack targeting Iranian missile and drone launch sites, in addition to coastal radar facilities. These strikes on Iranian targets were reportedly carried out in the vicinity of the Sirik area.
Iran’s state television broadcaster, IRIB, reported that a telecommunications tower sustained damage during the attack. In response to the US action, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard stated that it had launched its own retaliatory strikes against US interests throughout the Middle East. Furthermore, the group warned that its response to any subsequent attack would be significantly more forceful.
