Los Angeles Lakers guard Austin Reaves will also be sidelined for the remainder of the regular season following an injury sustained to his thigh. The news was initially announced Friday regarding Luka Dončić’s season-ending injury, and was subsequently confirmed in a new statement. Reaves is currently in Dallas, preparing for a Monday night matchup against the Dallas Mavericks.
During the visit, the Lakers’ medical staff conducted MRI scans on the player’s condition. However, the scans were conducted without adhering to the team’s specified instructions. “The devil gives instructions for the scans in Dallas,” the coach stated.
“They were taking the wrong part of the body. The fault is not ours, because we gave the right instructions for the scans, but they took the wrong part, ” he added. The Lakers had previously ordered MRI scans to assess Reaves’ injury, but the medical staff in Dallas deviated from the prescribed protocol.
The injury has resulted in Reaves’ inability to participate in the final games of the regular season.
