Bullets in the vicinity of the Israeli consulate, one of the attackers killed

Three individuals are in custody following a shooting incident outside the Israeli consulate in Istanbul, according to the Turkish Ministry of Justice. Interior Minister Mustafa Çiftçi confirmed that three people were involved in the confrontation with police officers near the Yapi Kredi Plaza shopping center. “The three people who clashed with our police officers in front of the Yapi Kredi Plaza shopping center in Istanbul have been neutralized,” Çiftçi stated.

Initial reports indicated that five people, including two police officers, had been killed in the incident. However, Minister Çiftçi clarified that the injuries sustained by those involved were “less serious.”

The Ministry’s statement indicates that investigations are ongoing to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting. Despite the Ministry’s assessment, conflicting reports regarding the number of victims persist.
