Stevanović responded to the recent actions of their representative by admitting that the party had placed its trust in the wrong individual regarding the candidacy of Mijic. He stated, “As the party president, I feel obliged to condemn this clearly and loudly.” Stevanović noted that in recent weeks, the party attempted to mitigate the damage, engaging with workers, some of whom he personally subsidized to ensure they received salaries. Stevanović claimed that he became aware of the insolvent company Progros’s free transfer to Snežić through media reports.
He further asserted that Mijic was informed of this transfer by the party’s own members. According to Stevanović, this situation constitutes a betrayal of the workers. “The limit has been crossed.
It’s no longer just about the company’s debts. It has turned out that we have been deceived several times: about his financial status, his education. I still don’t know what kind of education he has.”
Looking at the last sequence of events, Stevanović expressed confidence that the truth regarding the company’s transfer to Snežić will eventually come to light.
He indicated that the person who orchestrated these events has severely overstepped acceptable boundaries. Stevanović concluded by stating that the repeated deceptions regarding both financial standing and educational qualifications represent a significant breach of trust that the party can no longer overlook.
