The Slovenian political landscape appears poised for another challenging period. Are we facing two potentially turbulent months in the country’s governance? The formation of the “third block,” established following the initial gatherings at Robert Golob’s residence, involving Nova Slovenija, Logar’s Democrats, and Stevanović’s Resni.ca, remains uncertain.
Anže Logar has effectively halted negotiations with Golob until next week, prior to the unveiling of the coalition agreement, which would be shaped by Svoboda. Jernej Vrtovec, during a recent 24UR ZVEČER broadcast, stated plainly: “We are not going into a coalition with Svoboda, because we do not trust the prime minister and the party about past experience.”
The purpose of this “third block” and the specific role of Resni.ca is a key question. The 24UR ZVEČER show featured the party’s president, Zorana Stevanović, who emphasized: “We have been warning for years that this polarization, which also showed itself after these elections, which is not good for Slovenia.”
