A Serbian national, Ljubiša Karović, was involved in a serious incident two weeks ago aboard a flight traveling from Thessaloniki to Germany. During the flight, a component from a damaged engine detached and struck the passenger cabin window. The impact caused the window to burst, creating a dangerous suction force that nearly pulled the man seated nearby out of the cabin.
Karović survived the immediate danger due to a combination of factors, including the seatbelt securing him, the swift intervention of his wife, and the assistance of several other passengers. However, the ordeal resulted in injuries. Following the incident, Karović reportedly lost consciousness multiple times before being safely returned to the passenger area.
Currently, he is wearing a specialized brace around his neck and is scheduled to return to the hospital in six weeks to determine if surgery is necessary. Since the event, he has reportedly experienced recurring nightmares. The incident required significant medical attention, and his recovery remains ongoing.
