Al-Qaqa Ibn Anta, a 30-year-old man, died following an incident while attempting to climb the walls of the Hardah’s wrath volcanic crater in the southern Dhale province of Yemen. According to the Civil Protection Authority, Mr. Anta lost his grip on a rock face during his ascent.

The incident occurred within a 120-meter deep chasm. Initial reports surfaced following video footage circulating on social media, which depicted Mr. Anta’s climb without any protective equipment.

The video showed him performing acrobatic maneuvers on the crater wall before losing his footing and fell into the chasm. Rescue teams, including divers and water rescue specialists, were immediately dispatched to the site. After a search, Mr.

Anta’s body was recovered from the depths. Authorities confirmed the body was pulled out following its discovery. The incident highlights the dangers of unauthorized exploration in unstable geological areas.

The Civil Protection Authority has not yet released an official statement regarding the cause of the accident.
