The mayor of Novo mesto stresses that Kenog’s director’s salary, with a coefficient of 2.6, is excessive and deviates from established regulations. This assessment is supported by three reports from the Ministry of Economy. Over the course of four years, the discrepancy with the mandated coefficient would total 100,000 euros.
Samo Turel anticipates demanding the return of this overpaid amount from the supervisory board. He states that the board will require the director to reimburse the excess, adding that legal action will be pursued if necessary. The mayor asserts the rights of the founder will be defended through the appropriate court.
Data reveals that in 2022, the Kenog director received a net remuneration of 43,000 euros. Marjan Rupnik, speaking on behalf of the Kenog supervisory board, clarified that they had commissioned a legal opinion confirming the situation. The board believes the initial salary determination for the director was justified.
They are prepared to address the substantial amount in question.
