The HistoGenes project is one of the largest European research projects that connects archaeology, genetics, history and anthropology. It explores the time after the fall of the Roman Empire, the period of great migrations, wars, the formation of nations and modern Europe. And Slovenia was obviously one of the key crossroads of this event.
