The Institute of Economics and Peace published the latest Global Peace Index, which reveals the list of the safest and most peaceful countries in the world for 2025. In the classification of 163 countries, 23 different indicators were taken into account, such as the level of crime, political stability, the risk of terrorism, the number of internal and international conflicts, and the level of militarization. Data for the previous year reveal that Slovenia has occupied the ninth highest position among all countries on the peace index and thus has been included among the elite ten most peaceful and safe countries.
