The Slovenian State Holding (SDH) has initiated a thorough investigation into Petrola’s operations following recent disruptions at petrol stations. As a result, a dedicated auditor was appointed to scrutinize the company’s logistics and supply chain concerning petrol and petroleum derivatives. The audit specifically examined transactions from March 1st to April 30th of this year, focusing on the pricing of petrol at motorway and expressway service stations across Slovenia.
The auditor assessed the legality, fairness, thoroughness, and adherence to internal policies within these operations, seeking to identify any potential detriment to the company. Furthermore, the special auditor investigated the management of Petrola’s procurement of petroleum derivatives through trading intermediaries. This review encompassed the period from January 1st, 2024, to April 30th of this year, as suggested by the operator of state investments.
The aim was to ensure all transactions were conducted appropriately and in compliance with established procedures. The SDH’s actions demonstrate a commitment to transparency and accountability within Petrola’s operations, particularly regarding the distribution and pricing of petrol.
