Their performance culminated in a semifinal victory over the Slovaks.
The team maintained a high level of efficiency throughout their run, notably failing to concede a set across eight of the games played, with each victory secured by a decisive 3:0 scoreline. This win against the Slovaks contributed 11.09 points to Slovenia’s standing on the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) scale, elevating them to 16th place in the overall ranking. This placement marks a high achievement for the Slovenian volleyball players, potentially positioning them for consideration within an elite national league structure.
