Nuša Lesar, the host of Slovenia’s popular news program Svet na Kanal A, has spent several years documenting a wide range of human experiences for her audience. Over this time, she has covered both deeply sorrowful and uplifting stories, many of which resonated across the entire nation. Lesar’s reporting has encompassed narratives of personal tragedy alongside moments of collective joy and national pride.
She has highlighted individuals and events that have profoundly impacted viewers, fostering a sense of connection and shared experience. “I remember the moments when we came together for charitable actions, collecting aid for sick children or families in distress, and the moments when as a nation we breathed together in the pride and joy of individuals who brought us together,” Lesar reflected. In response to this extensive body of work, Lesar has introduced a new section within the program titled “Worldwide.” This segment will focus on sharing these impactful stories.
Lesar explained that “sometimes we feel worldly, sometimes we don’t. And that’s real.” The new section aims to acknowledge the diverse experiences of the world and the ways in which they connect with the Slovenian public.
