No more hotel soap and sugar sachets with coffee

In the European Union, the Packaging and Waste Package will be implemented in two months, and will gradually ban the offer of “single-serving” disposable products. Apart from the above mentioned, hotel packaging of personal hygiene products will also be covered by the ban, which will come into force in 2030. Small bottles of shampoos and shower gels and mini soaps will thus gradually disappear from hotel rooms.

Hotel cosmetics will no longer be offered on plates and in disposable glasses. The exception will apply to food for takeaway, which is intended for immediate consumption, and the customer will have the option to use their own packaging. The new rules introduce restrictions on plastic packaging for single-use.
