More expensive train travel, more expensive bike transportation

Several adjustments are being implemented across the public transport system, affecting ticketing structures for both local and regional travel. A key change involves the equalization of the price for a single-track urban ticket within the Ljubljana area, aligning it with the cost of the Ljubljana Pass. Furthermore, the Železnice has introduced a new annual urban ticket.

The cost of this annual pass is equivalent to the cumulative amount a passenger would otherwise pay by purchasing eight individual monthly tickets. Regarding higher-class trains, the supplements are now unified across all categories. Passengers will pay a supplement of two euros when purchasing at a sales point or ticket machine, while the cost when purchased directly on the trains will be four euros.

For holders of integrated public transport (IPP) tickets, new lump-sum monthly and annual supplements are being introduced; the purchase of the annual supplement will be restricted to sales points. In terms of visitor options, the previous tourist weekend discount has been abolished and replaced with a new structure. These changes aim to standardize pricing and simplify the purchasing process for commuters and tourists alike.
