Mexico ready to fully host Iranian football players

The Iranian national football team is expected to contest all of their upcoming matches within Mexico. This decision stems from the commencement of hostilities initiated by the United States and Israel at the close of last month. Negotiations are presently underway between the Iranian Football Federation and FIFA, the international governing body for football, regarding the potential relocation of Iranian fixtures to Mexico.

Information relayed by the Iranian embassy in Mexico indicates that discussions are actively taking place. FIFA, however, remains firm, adhering to the original competition schedule initially released on December 6th. The governing body has stated that they are engaged in ongoing negotiations concerning the practicality of moving Iranian matches to Mexico.

Claudia Sheinbaum addressed the situation during a press conference today, confirming that discussions with FIFA are progressing. “We are currently in the process of negotiating with FIFA about whether it is feasible to move Iranian matches to Mexico,” she stated. She further assured the public that further developments would be communicated promptly.

The situation reflects the concerns and wishes of passionate Iranian football supporters.
