Massacre in the village of Račak: five Serbian special forces arrested

As the Kosovo specialised state prosecutor’s office and police announced today, five retired members of the Serbian Ministry of the Interior were arrested for suspicion of war crimes in the village of Račak. According to the investigation carried out in recent months, “these persons were identified as part of the special units of the Serbian police during the operation on 15th January 1999 in Račak”, said Ilir Morina, prosecutor. A commemoration for the killed civilians in Račak was held.
