Marquez: Sincerely, I couldn’t continue as I’ve been racing so far

Marquez Returns to MotoGP Training Following Surgery

MUGUGLO – Marc Márquez will resume motorcycle training at the Italian Grand Prix after undergoing surgery for a broken foot and a sustained right arm injury. The nine-time MotoGP World Champion is expected to take to the track less than three weeks after his initial operation. Medical teams have been closely monitoring Márquez’s recovery.

On Thursday, the racing medical center confirmed he was cleared to begin training, following a thorough assessment. A subsequent check on Friday, after the first training session, further evaluated his condition. “The sensations are acceptable, so I am here,” Márquez stated.

“With doctors and physiotherapists, we have conducted a comprehensive examination and determined this is the appropriate next step. While the surgery was recent, I require time to regain full strength, and this time will be spent on the motorcycle.”

Despite the challenges, Márquez indicated he is not deterred. “I am not afraid of racing,” he affirmed.

The medical team continues to oversee Márquez’s progress as he prepares for the Mugello Grand Prix.
