Farmer’s Market Star Shares Personal Story
Igor Mikic, a participant on the TV show Farmer’s Market, recently discussed previously undisclosed aspects of his life during an interview. Born in Ljubljana, Slovenia, to his mother Marija and father Vidoslav, and brother Uroš, Mikic described a challenging childhood marked by familial discord. Following his parents’ divorce, he resided with his father while his brother remained with his mother.
“The most difficult period was when we were displaced and uncertain of our destination,” Mikic stated. “I began school in a remote location without knowing where I was going.” He reflected on the experience, noting that many children grow up with only one parent. “If I could change one thing, I would provide every child with two parents and a sense of unwavering love.”
Mikic has not had contact with his mother for two years, reconnecting with her during his eighth-grade year at elementary school.
At that time, he briefly lived with her. He explained that his father initially arranged for a 14-day stay, which subsequently extended to a longer period of living with his mother. Mikic’s personal narrative offers a glimpse into his formative years and highlights the impact of family transitions.
The interview underscores the importance of familial stability and support in a child’s development.
