This past weekend, men, old and young, gathered in the forest in the north of the Czech Republic to recreate the legendary battle of the five armies from J.R.R. Tolkien’s “The Hobbit” using replicas of weapons.
Participants came from all over the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Lithuania to take part in the battle. And the usually quiet Czech forest turned into a vast field of battlefield of elves, dwarves and orcs.
