Lindsey Vonn: My ankle is still broken

Lindsey Vonn, a highly accomplished alpine skier, revealed an update on her recovery process following a significant fall at the 2026 Winter Olympics. Five months after the accident in Cortina d’Ampezzo, the athlete admitted that the healing of both her bones and soft tissues is progressing more slowly than initially anticipated. Speaking to reporters at the ESPY Awards in New York, Lindsey vonn confirmed that her ankle remains officially broken.

The renowned skier, recognized for her determination, shared that mobility continues to present considerable difficulties. She noted that even routine daily activities are challenging for her at this time. Lindsey vonn is currently managing multiple recoveries; in addition to her ankle, she is also recovering from a torn cruciate ligament.
