“Bringing my mother to China, where we spent the week enjoying ourselves, and then stepping onto the podium in the red suit was a very special moment,” Hamilton reflected. “It was particularly pleasing as I achieved my first top three result while sharing the experience with Bono, Kimi Antonelli after his first victory, and George Russell.”
Hamilton’s transition from Mercedes, where he secured six of the last seven World Championships, to Ferrari presented a considerable challenge. The team has been working diligently to adapt to the new regulations and vehicle.
