On that occasion, a Boeing 787 Dreamliner belonging to Vietnam Airlines experienced operational difficulties while taking off from the same runway. According to dpa, the aircraft struggled with acceleration, narrowly averting a potential accident. During the event, the tail section of the plane veered off the runway, resulting in damage to the runway’s lighting system.
Crucially, no injuries were reported among those involved, and the aircraft was able to return safely to Munich. The sequence of events involving multiple large aircraft operations in the region has prompted the BFU’s thorough review. The investigation aims to determine the precise causes behind the recent operational issues, maintaining a focus on safety protocols at the Munich facility.
