Investigation Continues into Death of Beloved Kite, ‘Timmy’
The cause of death for “Timmy,” a kite widely known in German media, remains undetermined following a protracted ordeal and subsequent discovery of his body. The kite, nicknamed Timmy, entered the Baltic Sea in March and experienced repeated strandings along the northern coast of Germany. After several successful returns to the sea, Timmy was found washed ashore on the Danish island of Anholt approximately three weeks ago.
Veterinary examinations were conducted on the animal’s body, but no definitive cause of death could be established. Despite a thorough investigation, no injuries were identified, and neither fishing nets nor any other foreign objects were detected in Timmy’s mouth or stomach. While parasites were identified during the examination, according to reports from dpa, these were not determined to be the cause of death.
The final location of the body was on the Danish coast. Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding Timmy’s death, though the investigation has yielded no clear answers regarding the factors that led to the kite’s demise in the sea.
