Cerkno Residents Experienced Significant Wait Times for New Doctor Appointments
Cerkno, Slovenia – Over 500 residents of Cerkno gathered outside the local health station yesterday, seeking appointments with a new personal physician. The queue began as early as 6:00 a.m. and extended for more than five hours, with individuals enduring cold and rainy conditions while awaiting registration numbers.
The unusual demand prompted a lengthy wait for over 500 residents. However, today’s appointment process unfolded without incident. The Cerkno health station reported 490 appointments were filled simultaneously, resulting in a period of complete calm.
Acting Director of the Idrija Health Center, Branka Florjančič, reiterated that no further appointment slots are being scheduled. The initial surge in demand appears to have been addressed with the available capacity. The situation highlights a notable interest within the Cerkno community for new healthcare services.
Further information regarding the appointment process and available healthcare providers will be released by the Idrija Health Center.
