City Resident Adapts to Farm Life During Farmers’ Show Week
During the recent week of the Farmers’ Show, Juš Čop experienced a significant transition as he participated in the event’s activities. The experience presented a considerable challenge for the city resident, who is accustomed to a different lifestyle. Čop described his initial immersion as “a complete shock,” noting the stark contrast to his daily routine.
“In the morning, instead of a wake-up alarm and a coffee, I wake up with a donkey on one side, a cow on the other side, a rooster on the third side,” he stated. Despite this initial adjustment, Čop demonstrated discipline and a willingness to contribute. He leveraged skills developed through his extensive sporting background.
Čop began skating at age four and continued playing ice hockey for ten years, culminating in his high school career. Alongside Čop, Emi Dragišić prepared for a knowledge-based competition, receiving support from her friend. This week proved to be a demanding test for the city boy as he embraced his role within the Farmers’ Show.
His experience highlights the adaptability required in this unique setting.
