Janković filed a lawsuit against Zidar Klemenčič

Zoran Janković, the Mayor of Ljubljana, has filed a formal complaint against Nino Zidar Klemenčič before the holiday period. The complaint centers around allegations made by Klemenčič regarding alleged demands for a 10 percent commission related to city projects. Klemenčič previously stated that she observed Janković’s methods of operation, specifically referencing a demand for this commission during the implementation of several projects.

She cited the construction of a luxury hotel in Ljubljana as an example. The hotel, developed by Serbian company Delta owned by Miroslav Mišković, began construction at the end of 2015 and opened in the autumn of 2017. According to Klemenčič, the rapid acquisition of building permits was facilitated through the involvement of Janković’s son, who allegedly directed specific actions and requirements related to the Delta project.

She described this as occurring “without any shame.”

Janković has responded to these allegations, asserting that the city does not require such commissions. The complaint is now under review, focusing on the specifics of Klemenčič’s claims regarding the hotel development and Janković’s role in it.
