“It’s not just about the performance at the World Cup, it’s about the first step towards Los Angeles”

The Slovenian national handball team commenced preparations following a training session focused on the recovery of its current 13 players after recent club matches. The team is now preparing for its upcoming international fixtures, scheduled to begin with a match against Montenegro. The first game will take place on Thursday at 6:00 PM in the Morača hall.

The return match against Montenegro is slated for Sunday at 5:00 PM, and will be held in the Koper Arena Bonifika. During the preparation period, several players were excluded from training. Handball players Tilen Kodrin and Kristjan Horžen, representing Gummersbach in Germany, were not included about the training program.

Additionally, Blaž Blagotinšek, a returning player, participated in the special training schedule following his last club match. The team currently consists of 21 invited players, and the training aims to build upon their performance after the recent club season. The RZS (Slovenian Handball Federation) provided a photograph of Domen Novak during the session.

This preparation is crucial as the team focuses on securing results in the upcoming matches.
